The nominees for the 2015 Alberta Book Publishing Awards were announced today, and Edmonton's own NeWest Press has a strong showing with three nominations.

Trade Fiction Book Award:

NeWest Press has been very successful at the Alberta Book Publishing Awards in recent years, with Thea Bowering's Love at Last Sight winning the Trade Fiction Book Award at the 2014 ceremony. In 2013 Dianne Meili's 20th Anniversary edition of Those Who Know received the Trade Non Fiction Book Award, while Barbara Langhorst's Restless White Fields took home the Robert Kroetsch Poetry Book Award and Fran Kimmel's The Shore Girl won the Alberta Readers' Choice Award.
The 2015 Alberta Book Publishing Awards gala ceremony will be held at Fort Edmonton Park on Friday, September 18th of this year, with tickets for the event available online starting on July 14th.
