The Giller Longlist Is Out And Extensions Is On It! |

|
 It's another big day at NeWest Press. Today, the CBC and the Giller Prize Jury announced the longlist for this year's Giller Prize. Leading the charge for the Readers' Choice selection was none other than NeWest's Myrna Dey and her novel Extensions. With 6.9% of the total vote, Extensions has been selected for the Giller longlist among such other impressive novels as The Antagonist, by Lynn Coady; The Cat's Table, by Michael Ondaatje; The Sisters Brothers, by Patrick DeWitt; and Monoceros, by Suzette Mayr.
It is an impressive list, and one that Myrna and NeWest are proud to be a part of. Congratulations to all that were nominated, and I think it's safe to say we'll be biting our nails until the announcement of the shortlist on Tuesday, October 4.
