The first of NeWest's spring 2011 titles are in stores across the country and available to order. To celebrate, we're rolling out our first titles with a bevy of launch events. On April 5 at the ARTery on Jasper Avenue in Edmonton, Gayleen Froese will be launching her second NeWest book, the quick-witted supernatural mystery Grayling Cross. In addition, Wayne Arthurson will also be there to launch his excellent new mystery novel, Fall From Grace—which, like Grayling Cross, uses humble ol' Edmonton as its setting. Hosting the evening will be Minister Faust, who's used Edmonton as the backdrop for some larger-than-life plots in his own novels as well. The whole thing's sure to draw an exuberant crowd... come join us, won't you?
Then, on April 20 at Audreys Books, Wendy McGrath will be launching her second novel, a disarming work of poetic prose titled Santa Rosa. It's an Easter reading, so the crowd will likely be a tad less raucous (but no less attentive and enthusiastic). Anyhow, we'd love to see you there as well.
We'll be posting more events on the front page as they happen, and be sure to keep a watchful eye on our Twitter and Facebook pages for up-to-the-minute details on everything going on at NeWest! |
