That's right! NeWest's amazing Angie Abdou and The Bone Cage have made it to the final round of the 2011 Canada Reads competition!

The five finalists and their celebrity defenders were announced this morning on CBC Radio One with Jian Ghomeshi. The Bone Cage will be defended by none other than former Edmonton Oiler enfrocer and current deputy leader of the Green Party of Canada Georges Laraque.

What's next? Every week from now until the beginning of February, the CBC website will be updating with news, blogs, and events focussing on the individual authors and their books. We'll be following suit, tracking Angie and The Bone Cage throughout this entire process and updating the world on the circus of excitement that is Canada Reads.
