The Manitoba Book Awards shortlists were announced recently, and NeWest has not one, but two titles in the mix! A large congratulations goes out to Rick Ranson, author of Paddling South, and Di Brant, author of So this is the world & here I am in it.

Paddling South was nominated for the Alexander Kennedy Isbister Award for Non-Fiction and So this is the world & here I am in it was nominated for the McNally Robinson Book of the Year Award. Award winners will be announced on Saturday, April 26. Find out more by clicking here!

In addition, Stewart Lemoine's At the Zenith of the Empire has been shortlisted for the Gwen Pharis Ringwood Award for Drama as part of the Writers' Guild of Alberta's Literary Awards!
