Suzanne North Suzanne North was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta. As a young child, she and her family fished, picnicked, and picked berries in the area southwest of Calgary. It is these happy childhood experiences that inspired her to set her novel in this part of the world. She has worked at various jobs including bibliographic searcher, story editor, filmmaker, newspaper editor and horseplayer. Suzanne is an engaging personality and probably one of the only authors to say that she wrote her first novel on a computer she purchased with winnings from the racetrack. Her title Healthy, Wealthy & Dead was released in spring 1994.
