Myrna Dey

Myrna Dey grew up in Calgary and received a BA and an MA from the University of Alberta in Edmonton. She was a teaching assistant at the University of California, Berkeley during the mid-60s, and spent time in Berlin, Toronto, and Guyana. Since 1976, she has lived in Kamsack, Saskatchewan, where her husband has a dental practice. She has published short stories, articles, and essays in Reader's Digest, NeWest Review, Canadian Living, National Post, Globe & Mail, and MacLean's.  Extensions, Myrna's first novel, was published by NeWest Press in October 2010, and was selected as the first ever People's Choice Nominee for the 2011 Giller Prize longlist in September 2011.
